GAMA has taken the initiative to conduct a course on conversational Malayalam every year. A new batch for this course starts every year in the Fall. The intent of this course is to teach conversational Malayalam to anyone (especially kids) who wants to learn language. For more info. please contact GAMA directors or Sudhir.

The University of Texas Professor Madhavan R. Unnithan has graciously extended an exciting opportunity for the current students of GAMA Malayalam School to partake in a series of Conversational Malayalam Workshops.
Professor Unnithan joined the UT Department of Asian Studies as a Lecturer in Malayalam in the Fall of 2006. He earned his PhD in Malayalam Literature from the University of Madras. This workshop will take the skills that the current class has learned so far to the next level. |

• Spelling, Vocabulary and Math Bees The North South Foundation (a non-profit voluntary organization) is offering Spelling Bee, Vocabulary Bee and Math Bee Contests for kids of ages 4 through 9. •Carnatic Music Concert by Sreevalsan Menon Sreevalsan Menon, a budding artist from Kerala, will be performing in Austin this April. He is a senior disciple of guru Padmashree Neyyattinkara Vasudeva. Sreevalsan Menon has received numerous awards including those from Music Academy- Chennai and Krishna Gana Sabha– Chennai. He is a grade ‘A’ artist with All India Radio and has given concerts all over the country as well as internationally.
